A spritesheet I created for Blackthorn Games’ Artemia prototype – a simple 4-frame isometric ‘walking’ animation in four directions. Artemis is a 13-year old hunter. In a world where children are kidnapped by dark creatures, she must set off on a journey to rescue her little brother from this fate. The sprites feature a hand-drawn look. One of the things established early on was that Artemis must appear confident and strong, which I did by exaggerating the motion of her limbs and clothing.
